Lisa Simon Ba(Hons), BSc (Hons), RD
My name is Lisa Simon and I am HCPC registered Dietitian
I am a UK registered dietitian with seven years clinical experience working with patients with a wide range of clinical conditions. I am passionate about providing evidence-based, patient-centred care and a friendly, professional, non judgemental service. If you are looking for an experienced dietitian with a broad range of knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development then please contact me and we can have a chat with no pressure to book a consultation.
My career path was set during a year long stay in Tanzania, East Africa, where I set up a breakfast club for the children in the primary school in which I taught. I noticed that not only did their concentration and energy levels improve but there was also a marked improvement in their academic performance and test results. I have always been aware of the importance of nutrition but it was at this point that I started to explore the possibility of turning that interest into a career. I completed a four year undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics in 2014 and am proud to have graduated with a first class degree.
I began my career working in Morriston Hospital in Swansea. After one year of experiencing a wide variety of clinical conditions, I left to take up a post at the University Hospital of Wales and began working there in 2015, before specialising in critical care at the Royal Gwent Hospital and then gastroenterology, where I worked for three years. My extensive experience led me to where I am today, establishing my own business and having the ability to set my own time limits which means that I get to spend the right amount of time with each one of my clients. This enables me to provide in depth advice tailored to your needs and ongoing support.
My clients – no one person is the same and my tailored, personalised approach reflects that.
